TORONTO–Tomoyuki Sugano left the Orioles-Blue Jays game as he prepared to pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning. The 35-year-old Japanese right-hander’s major league debut came to an abrupt end after his right hand was examined, and he left the mound.
The Orioles announced that Sugano left the game because of cramping.
Sugano allowed two runs on four hits in four innings, walking two and striking out one.
