Orioles left-hander John Means allowed just one hit in seven scoreless innings in his sixth and final rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk. Means struck out eight and walked one, throwing 95 pitches in Norfolk’s 2-0 win over Gwinnett.
Means, who’s on the 15-day injured list with a strained left forearm, is expected to rejoin the Orioles this week. He could be rejoining Kyle Bradish, who’s been on the injured list with a sprain of the right ulnar collateral ligament, in the starting rotation.
Third baseman Coby Mayo and catcher Maverick Handley homered for the Tides. Jackson Holliday was 1-for-4 in his second game with Norfolk after being demoted by the Orioles on Friday.
Tucker Davidson and Bryan Baker each pitched a scoreless inning. Baker allowed a hit in the ninth.
