The Orioles optioned right-handed pitcher Jonathan Heasley to Triple-A Norfolk after Friday night’s game, making room for right-hander Yohan Ramírez, who was acquired from the New York Mets on Thursday for cash considerations.
Heasley, who allowed six runs in two innings in Friday night’s 11-1 loss to Milwaukee, was 0-1 and had a 12.46 earned-run average in three games. Ramírez was 0-1 with an 11.81 ERA in three games with the Mets.
Infielder/outfielder Tony Kemp cleared waivers and chose free agency instead of reporting to Norfolk.
