BOSTON—The Orioles acquired right-handed pitcher Yohan Ramírez from the New York Mets for cash considerations on Thursday. He has not yet reported.
Ramírez was 0-1 with an 11.81 earned-run average in three games with the Mets before being designated for assignment on Monday.
He was suspended for three games, which was ultimately reduced to two games, for intentionally throwing at Milwaukee’s Rhys Hoskins in the second game of the season.
Ramírez is 6-5 with a 4.31 ERA in five seasons with Seattle, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, the Chicago White Sox and the Mets.
The Orioles’ 40-man roster is now full.
