The Orioles home opener, scheduled for Thursday at 3:05 p.m., has been postponed until Friday, the team announced on Wednesday.
“After consultation with MLB, tomorrow’s Home Opener at Oriole Park at Camden Yards has been postponed due to the forecast of severe inclement weather,” the Orioles wrote in a statement.
The Orioles will open their home schedule against the New York Yankees. The game will begin at 3:05 p.m. Friday’s forecast calls for clear skies with a high of 63 degrees.
