Nearly four months after they were scheduled to begin the 2020 season, the Orioles will play the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Friday night July 24 at 7:30 p.m. It’s the first time the Orioles will play at Boston to open the season since 1966.
The delayed home opener will be July 29 against Miami at 7:05 p.m.
The defending American League East champs, the New York Yankees, will play six games in Baltimore (August 3-5 and September 4-6). Boston will play at Oriole Park on August 20-23.
The Orioles will play six games against the world champion Nationals, three in Washington from August 7-9, and a week later at Camden Yards on August 14-19.
In other interleague matchups, the Orioles will play the Marlins at Camden Yards on July 29-30 and Atlanta at home on September 14-16.
The Philadelphia Phillies won’t come to Baltimore, but the Orioles play there August 11-13.
The Orioles’ final home series will be against Tampa Bay on September 17-20. They’ll close the season at Toronto September 25-27.
There will be three exhibition games, at Philadelphia on July 19, and a home-and-home matchup with the Nationals on July 20 and 21. The Orioles will play the Nats at home on the July 20 and play at Nationals Park on July 21. All three games will begin at 6:05 p.m.
All 60 games will be carried on MASN and the Orioles’ radio network, but the three exhibition games won’t be on either television or radio.

Just when you think things can’t get worse you find out the O’s open against the Sawx at Bahston.
Who made up this schedule? After opening at Boston Friday-Sunday they fly to Miami and play the Marlins Monday-Tuesday then fly home and open against the Marlins on Wednesday. Good thing there won’t be any fans to see them open up jet lagged. I don’t care if it is the first week after months off, that is ridiculous.

More people will watch on television at night. The good thing is that all the games are in the Eastern time zone so there shouldn't be many late nights--barring long rain delays.
Home Opener? For who?? There won't be anyone in the stands! MLB's entire scheduling is idiotic! Variable # of games against teams in the NL? Why? 2, 3 and 4-game series? Arent you supposed to try to LIMIT travel and movement? How about 5 and 5 against your own division (see ALL their pitchers), and 2 and 2 against the NL? There's you 60 games with FAR LESS TRAVEL!!!! And I agree on the day/night games topic - I have been told many times that one of the biggest infrastructure expenses of a game is "turning on the lights"!!!!! Play at 9 in the morning and replay on MLB all night long. When the rains start and you have to reschedule DH's, you can play game 2 at 3pm - or NOON.
This is just another example of a major industry refusing to think creatively about how to modify their business so as to REALISTICALLY deal with Covid impact - instead MLB is using this opportunity to crowbar rules changes they have been champing at forever - DH in NL, runner at 2nd to start the 10th, ads on uniforms, etc, etc.
Its probably all irrelevant anyway - at the rate we're seeing in MLB, 20% of every team will either opt out or be on the Covid DL by July 24.
I'll watch if they play because even crappy baseball is baseball, but I think it's highly unlikely we get to see 60 games.
You make some good points, but it won't be "crappy baseball". These guys are the best on the world, even at 80% strength.
