Barclay, Hoff and Seidleck finalists for Prep Ballplayer of the Week

Our three Prep Ballplayer of the Week finalists are set.

Two of the players hit a grand slam, and the third tossed a gem and also contributed at the plate.

This Week’s Finalists

Adam Barclay, Sr., INF/OF, Archbishop Spalding

Barclay didn’t waste any time last week. On Monday versus St. Paul’s, he had two hits and three RBIs. The senior doubled his RBI total the next day against John Carroll when he drove in six runs with a grand slam and a two-run single.

Haden Hoff, Jr., OF/C, Westminster

Due to a rescheduled game from March, the Owls faced Francis Scott Key on back-to-back days last week. And Hoff found success in each contest. He hit two triples and a grand slam Wednesday — knocking in five runs — and a day later, had two doubles and two RBIs.

Alex Seidleck, Soph., RHP, Indian Creek

Seidleck had a strong game against St. Frances on Monday. The right-hander tossed a five-inning no-hitter — he struck out 12. At the plate, Seidleck had three doubles and four RBIs.

Others considered (listed alphabetically): Josh Horgan, Severna Park; Cael Huyer, South River; Matt Isaac, Broadneck; Ethan McCormick, Spalding; Jerras Murray, Howard; Andrew Sowinski, Annapolis Area Christian; Matt Wyatt, Loyola.
