NEW YORK—The Orioles-Yankees game on Sunday will start at 1:05 p.m. instead of the scheduled 3:20 p.m., because of the forecast.
Heavy rain is forecast for late afternoon Sunday. After consulting with Major League Baseball, it was decided that the final game of the regular season will start earlier.
It’s the third change for the Orioles this week. Tuesday’s game with Toronto was rained out and played as part of a day/night doubleheader on Wednesday. Saturday’s game against the Yankees was changed to a Friday doubleheader.
Shane Baz (6-15, 4.11) is scheduled to start for the Orioles, and Elmer Rodríguez (0-3, 5.40) is scheduled to start for the Yankees.
