BOSTON—The Orioles placed outfielder Ramón Laureano on the 10-day injured list with a sprained left ankle. The move is retroactive to Wednesday.
Laureano injured the ankle in Tuesday’s game in Milwaukee. The Orioles have 10 players on the injured list. Laureano was batting .266 with an .852 OPS, six home runs and 11 RBIs in 36 games.
The Orioles selected the contract of infielder Terrin Vavra from Triple-A Norfolk. Vavra has a .254 average with a home run and 17 RBIs in 67 games with the Orioles in 2022 and 2023.
Left-hander Trevor Rogers is the Orioles’ 27th man for Saturday’s doubleheader with the Boston Red Sox.
