After recovering from surgery to remove bone chips from his left knee, reliever Andrew Kittredge has been added to the Orioles’ active roster for Wednesday’s game in Milwaukee. Kittredge, who signed a one-year $9 million contract in January, had surgery in early March. The Orioles hold a 2026 option on the 35-year-old right-hander.
Kittredge, who had a 3.44 ERA and 16 saves in eight seasons with Tampa Bay and St. Louis, had one rehab appearance for High-A Aberdeen and five scoreless one-inning outings for Triple-A Norfolk this month.
To make room for Kittredge on the roster, the Orioles optioned right-hander Chayce McDermott to Norfolk. McDermott pitched in Tuesday night’s 5-2 loss to the Brewers, the Orioles’ eighth loss in a row. McDermott has an 8.22 ERA and has allowed eight hits and eight walks in 7 2/3 innings.
