With an unfavorable weather forecast for this weekend, the Orioles and New York Yankees have rescheduled their Saturday night game, making it part of a Friday doubleheader that will begin at 4:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.

Trevor Rogers (10-11, 4.07) will start Game 1 for the Orioles. Brandon Young (9-5, 3.62) will start Game 2.

Game 1 will be seen on FOX. Originally, Saturday night’s game was to be shown on FOX.

Shane Baz (6-15, 4.11) is scheduled to start Sunday’s 3:20 p.m. game. Sunday’s forecast also calls for rain.

If the Orioles, who were eliminated from playoff consideration on Thursday afternoon with the Chicago White Sox’s 9-1 win over Kansas City, sweep the three games, they’ll finish with an 81-81 record.

The Orioles will have 10 relievers for their doubleheader. Albert Suarez’s contract was purchased from Triple-A Norfolk for the sixth time this season. Suárez is 2-0 with a 4.12 ERA and a save in 27 games.

To make room for Suárez on the roster, Trey Gibson, who pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings in Wednesday night’s 4-2 win over Toronto, was optioned to the Orioles’ spring training complex in Sarasota.

Kyle Bradish, who’s been diagnosed with a sports hernia, was transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room for Suárez on the 40-man roster.
