Orioles sign reliever Andrew Kittredge to 1-year contract with 2026 option

The Orioles made their signing of right-handed reliever Andrew Kittredge official on Monday. Kittredge’s reported salary for 2025 is $9 million plus a $1 million buyout and a 2026 option for $9 million.

Kittredge was 5-5 with a save and a 2.80 ERA in a career-high 74 games with St. Louis last season. In seven seasons with Tampa Bay, the 35-year-old right-hander was 18-7 with a 3.65 ERA and 15 saves.

In 2021, Kittredge was named to the American League All-Star team and was 9-3 with a 1.88 ERA and eight saves.

To make room for Kittredge on the 40-man roster, the Orioles designated catcher Blake Hunt for assignment. Hunt, who has yet to play in the major leagues, was acquired from Seattle last May 24th in the trade that sent pitcher Mike Baumann and catcher Michael Pérez to the Mariners.
