Orioles’ Minor League Roundup: Mayo exits after collision

Triple-A Norfolk third baseman Coby Mayo left the Tides’ game at Lehigh Valley after he collided with part of the third base dugout. Mayo went 2-for-2 before the collision in Norfolk’s 8-6 loss. Shortstop Jackson Holliday hit his fourth home run. Designated hitter Daniel Johnson hit his eighth.

Five Double-A Bowie pitchers combined in the Baysox’s 3-0 win over Binghamton, Kyle Brnovich (2-1) allowed three of the Rumble Ponies’ five hits in 4 2/3 innings. Leftfielder Jud Fabian hit his seventh home run.

High-A Aberdeen dropped a doubleheader to Wilmington, l0sing 3-2 and 3-0. Catcher Creed Willems hit a two-run homer, his eighth in the first game. The IronBirds had just one hit in the second game.

Single-A Delmarva beat Lynchburg 5-2 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader. Third baseman Angel Tejada, designated hitter Noelberth Romero and catcher Aneudis Mordán homered. The second game was postponed due to wet graounds.
