Every weekday, I’ll be answering at least one Orioles question. If you’d like to submit a question, send it to: [email protected]. Questions may be edited for clarity, length and style.

Question: Is Trey Mancini in the major leagues? From: Ricky Templeton

Answer: Ricky, Trey Mancini is not currently playing baseball. Since leaving the Orioles in August 2022, Mancini has played for the Houston Astros and Chicago Cubs. He was released by the Cubs last August 2nd and signed with Cincinnati a few weeks later. After playing five games for Triple-A Louisville, he was released. Mancini was in spring training with Miami and opted out of his minor league contract in late March. He hasn’t signed with anyone else.

Question:  I’m sure many other Orioles fans share my feelings about watching Orioles games. With MASN switching to premium Xfinity it makes it expensive and difficult for the average fan. With new ownership, any future plans to make MASN easier to access? Maybe a standalone streaming service. A lot of people have cut the cable cord and rely on streaming these days and the Fubo package is expensive as well. From: Jeff Tabak

Answer: Jeff, I think there could be changes for the 2025 season. MLB wants to end the blackout rule, and there’s been talk about a package without blackouts if enough clubs are interested. David Rubenstein hasn’t said anything about changing the plan, although it would make sense for MASN to disengage from the Nationals. I’d like to see a return to some games being on over-the-air television for fans who don’t want to pay for cable.
