Orioles promote Eve Rosenbaum to assistant general manager

The Orioles promoted Eve Rosenbaum to assistant general manager, baseball operations on Friday. Rosenbaum, who joined the club in December 2019, will advise Executive Vice President and General Manager Mike Elias and Assistant General Manager, Analytics Sig Mejdal.

The Orioles say that Rosenbaum will “oversee roster management, transactions, financial planning and major league operations and administration while continuing to play a key role in player evaluation and acquisition across the pro and amateur markets.”

Rosenbaum came to the Orioles from the Houston Astros, where he she worked for five seasons, and also worked with Elias and Mejdal. Rosenbaum had served as the team’s director of baseball development since 2019. She often travels with the Orioles on road trips.

She spoke with BaltimoreBaseball.com in November, 2020 after Kim Ng’s appointment as the first female general manager in major professional sports, and her first year with the Orioles.

Rosenbaum is a Bethesda native and played softball at Harvard. In November 2021, she was inducted into the Greater Washington Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
