The Orioles’ scheduled game against the Chicago White Sox on Friday night has been postponed by rain. The White Sox made the announcement about an hour after the scheduled 8:10 p.m. start at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Friday’s game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday. The first of two seven-inning games will begin at 2:10 p.m. The second game will start 30–to-45 minutes after the first.
Matt Harvey will start the first game of the doubleheader, and John Means will start the second.
It’s the fourth rainout for the Orioles this season.
The Orioles will try to end their 10-game losing streak. They’ve lost 17 of 19.
They’ll get to add a 27th player for the doubleheader. They might recall left-handed reliever Brandon Waddell, who was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday afternoon when the team recalled first baseman Tyler Nevin from the Tides. Nevin was recalled because Trey Mancini and Ryan Mountcastle were unable to start Friday’s game.
Mancini was hit by a pitch in Thursday night’s game and has a bruised right elbow. Mountcastle has been unable to play since suffering a bruised left hand when he was hit by a pitch in Tuesday’s game at Minnesota.

The game was rained out in Chicago. Why a photo of tarp-covered field at Camden Yards?
