ST. PETERSBURG, Florida—Orioles left-hander pitcher Josh Rogers underwent ulnar collateral ligament revision surgery on Wednesday, manager Brandon Hyde said.
The surgery was performed in Arlington, Texas by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Keith Meisner.
Rogers had Tommy John surgery in 2013.
Acquired from the New York Yankees in July 2018 along with pitchers Cody Carroll and Dillon Tate in exchange for Zack Britton, Rogers is 1-3 with an 8.65 ERA in eight games with the Orioles. This season, he was 0-1 with an 8.79 ERA in five games.
He’s expected to miss at least a year.
Stewart on the mend: Outfielder DJ Stewart, who’s been on the 10-day injured list since June 6 with a sprained right ankle, is headed to Double-A Bowie to continue his rehab, Hyde said.

Sounds like he may have been damaged goods, good thing the O’s are pretty thorough with their physicals...go O’s
He’s not the only one the O’s got last that there are questions about their condition.
This is exactly what happens when a superannuated know-it-all Owner refuses to let a perfectly competent GM start a re-build for a washed-up Beer League Team in 2016 or 2017... When you are trading rental players opposed to players w one or two years of control you are left to basically take what you can get from the market..
Now that the Old Man no longer has the faculties to function well at all (sad for him, though he has had a great life), his sons have turned the running of the team to a young sharpie who knows what he's doing who will lead the Orioles back into prominence in MLB...
Agreed, scary...
