Orioles recall Gibson to start against Rays, option Raquet

BALTIMORE—The Orioles recalled right-hander Trey Gibson from Triple-A Norfolk to start Wednesday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Gibson, who has a 5.40 ERA in two appearances, was on the taxi squad for Tuesday’s game. He allowed three runs on four hits in 4 1/3 innings against the New York Yankees in his first start on May 3rd.

Five days later, Gibson gave up a run on three hits in two innings in relief against the Athletics.
