BALTIMORE—The Orioles-Detroit Tigers game scheduled for Saturday at 4:05 p.m. has been postponed by rain. The Orioles announced the postponement about 12:45 p.m. It’s the team’s second rainout of the season.
Saturday’s game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Sunday. The first game, originally scheduled for 1:35 p.m., will begin at 12:35. The second game is slated for 6:05 p.m.
Fans with tickets for Saturday’s game can use them for Sunday’s 6:05 p.m. game. Samuel Basallo bobbleheads, which were to be given out on Saturday, will be handed out at Sunday’s second game.
Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. for first game and 5 p.m. for the second game. Separate tickets will be required for both games.
Fans with tickets for Saturday who can’t use them for Sunday night’s game can visit Orioles.com/visit for options. Pregame Kids autographs and postgame Kids Run the Bases have been canceled.
Brandon Young (3-1, 4.25), who was scheduled to start Saturday’s game against Framber Valdez, will start Game 1. Trevor Rogers (2-5, 6.87) will start Game 2. The Tigers haven’t announced their starter.
Both teams get to add a 27th man for Sunday. If the Orioles wish to add a pitcher, they have five on the 40-man roster — Cam Foster, Trey Gibson, Eduarniel Núñez, Nick Raquet and Josh Walker.
