Notes: Starting pitcher Zach Eflin is flying on Tuesday to Arlington, Texas for a second opinion on his right elbow with Dr. Keith Meister. Elin was placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow discomfort last Wednesday, the day after he made his first start and came out of the game in the fourth inning. He had allowed only one run and struck out seven. Eflin had back surgery last August but looked strong in spring training, convincing the Orioles that he was ready to start the season.

The Orioles haven’t announced their starter for Monday, although it could be left-hander Cade Povich, who was called up from Norfolk on Sunday after relief pitcher Yaramil Hiraldo was placed on the 15-day injured with right shoulder inflammation. That move is retroactive to April 2nd. Trevor Rogers and Kyle Bradish are scheduled to start against the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox are starting three right-handers — Erick Fedde, Shane Smith and Sean Burke. The Orioles have yet to face a left-handed starter.
