SARASOTA—The Orioles acquired 29-year-old right-handed pitcher Jackson Kowar from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for cash considerations on Saturday.
Kowar, who was designated for assignment by the Twins on Thursday, is 4-6 with an 8.21 ERA in 54 games over four seasons with Kansas City and Seattle.
In 2025, Kowar was 2-0 with a 4.24 ERA for the Mariners. He was the 33rd overall pick in the 2018 draft by the Royals.
Minnesota claimed Kowar off waivers on February 3rd.
To make room for Kowar on the 40-man roster, the Orioles placed right-hander Colin Selby, who has shoulder inflammation, on the 60-day injured list.
