Orioles acquire right-hander Jackson Kowar from Twins

SARASOTA—The Orioles acquired 29-year-old right-handed pitcher Jackson Kowar from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for cash considerations on Saturday.

Kowar, who was designated for assignment by the Twins on Thursday, is 4-6 with an 8.21 ERA in 54 games over four seasons with Kansas City and Seattle.

In 2025, Kowar was 2-0 with a 4.24 ERA for the Mariners. He was the 33^rd overall pick in the 2018 draft by the Royals.

Minnesota claimed Kowar off waivers on February 3^rd.

To make room for Kowar on the 40-man roster, the Orioles placed right-hander Colin Selby, who has shoulder inflammation, on the 60-day injured list.
