After appearing in only five games in 2025 and a visit with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Keith Meister in Dallas this week, Albert Suárez received some good news.
According to an Orioles spokesperson, Suárez suffered a mild forearm flexor strain during his last appearance of the season. He is continuing rehabilitation in the offseason and the team expects him to begin a throwing progression in the coming weeks.
Suárez, who was 2-0 with a 2.31 ERA, appeared in the Orioles’ second game of the season in Toronto on March 28th, and didn’t pitch again until September 2nd because of a rotator cuff injury.
His final appearance was a start on September 14th in Toronto and he was removed after three innings.
