The Orioles have signed infielder Vimael Machin to a minor league contract. Machin, a 31-year-old left-handed hitter, played 112 games for Oakland from 2020-2022.
Machin, who has played second base, shortstop and third base, hit .208 with a home run and 14 RBIs in those three seasons with the Athletics.
He played for Puerto Rico in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and in 2024, hit .401 with seven home runs and 56 RBIs in 85 games in the Mexican League.
