Question: Do you think the Orioles will re-sign Corbin Burnes? From: Gary Dorothy Tallon
Answer: Gary, I think the Orioles will make an offer to Burnes, but I can’t see them offering the $200 million-plus that some have speculated he’ll receive. Burnes is the best free-agent pitcher, and it would surprise me if the Orioles offered seven or eight years to a starting pitcher, even one as good as Burnes.
Question: What is Baltimore’s ERA as a team with James McCann catching, and with Adley Rutschman? And, specifically, what is Corbin Burnes’ ERA with each of the catchers? From: Steve Westerholm
Answer: Steve, entering Wednesday night’s game, the Orioles ERA with McCann catching is 3.82 and with Rutschman it’s 4.04. Burnes’ ERA with McCann is 2.94 and with Rutschman, it’s 3.16.
