BALTIMORE-Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman was removed from the lineup just before the start of Friday night’s game against the Boston Red Sox with lower back discomfort.
Rutschman was set to lead off and catch. He was replaced in the lineup by James McCann. The All-Star catcher is batting .267 with 17 home runs and 69 RBIs.
