BALTIMORE—The Orioles on Monday swapped left-handed hitting outfielders, recalling Kyle Stowers from Triple-A Norfolk and optioning Heston Kjerstad to the Tides.
Stowers, who hit .207 in 48 games with the Orioles in 2022 and 2023, was hitting .240 with 11 home runs and 32 RBIS and an .856 OPS with Norfolk.
Kjerstad hit .143 (2-for-14) in seven games with the Orioles.
The Orioles also claimed right-handed pitcher Corbin Martin from Milwaukee off waivers. Martin is 1-5 with a 6.71 earned-run average in 17 games with Houston and Arizona from 2019-2022. He has been optioned to Norfolk.
