Jersey of the Game-Chris Hoiles

One of the most underrated Orioles of recent times, Hoiles caught 10 seasons for the Orioles, 1989-1998, and was best known for his “ultimate grand slam” on May 17th, 1996. Hoiles hit a game-winning grand slam in the bottom of the ninth, giving the Orioles a 14-13 win over Seattle.

Rich Dubroff grew up in Brooklyn as a fan of New York teams, but after he moved to Baltimore, quickly adopted the Orioles and Colts. After nearly two decades as a freelancer assisting on Orioles coverage for several outlets, principally The Capital in Annapolis and The Carroll County Times, Dubroff began covering the team fulltime in 2011.
