Maton, McKenna clear waivers, assigned to Norfolk; Nevin claimed by Athletics

BALTIMORE—Infielder/outfielder Nick Maton and outfielder Ryan McKenna have cleared outright waivers and were assigned to Triple-A Norfolk.

Infielder/outfielder Tyler Nevin, who was also designated for assignment, was claimed off waivers by Oakland.

Maton was designated for assignment on Tuesday when the Orioles signed infielder Tony Kemp. McKenna and Nevin were designated for assignment on Thursday.
