Orioles set Opening Day roster, place Webb on paternity list, recall Vespi; Means, Bradish to IL, McKenna, Nevin designated for assignment

BALTIMORE—The Orioles recalled left-handed pitcher Nick Vespi from Triple-A Norfolk and placed right-hander Jacob Webb on the paternity list on Thursday..

In setting the Opening Day roster, which includes rookie outfielder Colton Cowser and veteran Tony Kemp, they placed Kyle Bradish and John Means on the 15-day injured list, both retroactive to March 25th. Bradish’s injury is a sprain of the right ulna collateral ligament, and Means is on the iinjured list with a left forearm strain.

In addition, the Orioles designated outfielder Ryan McKenna and infielder/outfielder Tyler Nevin for assignment, and placed catcher Michael Pérez on the major league taxi squad.
