Orioles open 2024 schedule on March 28th against Angels

The Orioles will open their 2024 regular season at home for the first time since 2018 on March 28th against the Los Angeles Angels. It’s the first time that the Orioles have opened against the Angels since 1961. That was the first game in Angels’ history.

For the second straight season, the Orioles will play every team. The Orioles will host eight National League teams (Milwaukee April 12th-14), (Arizona May 10th-12th), (Atlanta June 11th-13th), Philadelphia (June 14th-16th), Chicago Cubs (July 9th-11th), San Diego (July 26th-28th), Washington (August 13th-14th) and San Francisco (September 17th-19th).

The Orioles will be home on Memorial Day (May 27th vs. Boston) and Labor Day (September 2nd vs. Chicago).

Their final home game is September 22nd against Detroit, and they’ll close the season on September 29th at Minnesota.

Notes: Catcher Anthony Bemboom cleared outright waivers and accepted an assignment to Triple-A Norfolk. … Dean Kremer (9-4, 4.78) will face Sandy Alcantara (3-7, 4.72) on Friday night when the Orioles begin the second half of the season against the Miami Marlins. Kyle Gibson (9-6, 4.60) and Braxton Garrett (5-2, 3.70) are scheduled to start on Saturday night. Kyle Bradish will start for the Orioles on Sunday. The Marlins have yet to announce their starter. … The Orioles’ game against the New York Yankees on July 30th will be part of ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball. Game time will be 7:10. … The Oriole said minor league outfielder Hudson Haskin had successful surgery for a left hip impingement on Wednesday and will miss the rest of the regular season.
