Orioles-Royals rained out again; Teams will play doubleheader on Sunday, and a Monday game at 12:05

BALTIMORE–The Orioles’ scheduled game for Saturday against the Kansas City Royals was postponed by rain. It was the second straight game postponement, with Friday’s game also being washed out.

Saturday’s game, which was scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m., was postponed about 2 1/2 hours before its start time. It will be made up at 12:05 on Monday, which had been an offday.

Friday’s rainout will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, beginning at 1:35 p.m. Jordan Lyles will pitch the first game against Zack Greinke. Bruce Zimmermann will pitch against Daniel Lynch in Game 2. Tyler Wells is scheduled to pitch on Monday against Carlos Hernandez.

After Monday’s game, the Orioles will go on the road for three games against the St. Louis Cardinals, followed by three against the Detroit Tigers. They will return home on Monday, May 16th for a four-game series against the Yankees.
