Gerstell’s Reece Early takes home final Prep Ballplayer of the Week award

Gerstell’s Reece Early used strong ‘B’ Conference final performances to win our final Prep Ballplayer of the Week award. He captured more than 73% of the vote that also included finalists Pete Marchineck (Calvert Hall) and Zach Stiars (C. Milton Wright).

Early pitched and hit the Falcons to a 6-3 victory over Boys’ Latin on May 20. The right-hander struck out 12 hitters in a complete game. He allowed three unearned runs. At the plate, he had two hits, including a solo home run, and an RBI.

Due to the double-elimination tournament, the two teams met again the next day.
