For a second straight week, a Century player has won our Prep Ballplayer award.
Jared Lamb took the crown last week. This time, it’s senior infielder Matt Born.
Born, who hit three home runs — including a grand slam — in two games and knocked in 10 total runs, earned 81 percent of the vote.
He was one of three candidates for the weekly award — joined by Gilman’s Peter Heubeck and C. Milton Wright’s Hunter Wright.
Three more finalists will be announced 12 p.m. Monday. From then until Thursday night, you get to vote in the poll — early and often — for the player you believe should be our winner, which is announced each Friday.
If you’re interested in submitting candidates for our consideration, please send the player’s name, key statistics from the previous week and your contact information to sean@baltimorebaseball.com. We welcome suggestions and your feedback.

Good stuff as always Sean. One question; any way your stuff could include the updated standings to the various metro area leagues?
