Orioles

Thanks for stopping by — and welcome!

Starting today, I have a new forum to do what I truly love doing — writing about the Orioles. After 2 1/2 seasons of success here, my friend Dan Connolly is off to a new challenge covering the Orioles, and I’ll be carrying on.

Some of you may know me, but I may be new to others. For the past seven years, I’ve been covering the Orioles for Comcast SportsNet’s website, and most recently for PressBoxonline.com. Before that, I assisted for nearly two decades for several outlets, principally The Capital in Annapolis and The Carroll County Times.

During the past two spring trainings, I’ve contributed to this site with regular postings.

Enough about me, let’s talk about what’s really important — the Orioles. The first half of the season has been challenging, and the final two-plus months of the season and perhaps the next few seasons could be just as challenging.

BaltimoreBaseball.com will continue to provide you with incisive daily coverage, and some of the others who’ve been helping Dan: Paul Folkemer, Jack Gibbons, Dean Jones and Adam Pohl — will continue.

I want to hear from you, and you can follow my posts here, on Twitter @RichDubroffMLB or on Facebook.

As we head into what seems certain to be the post-Machado era, let’s see together what the Orioles have in store for us.

Rich Dubroff

Rich Dubroff grew up in Brooklyn as a fan of New York teams, but after he moved to Baltimore, quickly adopted the Orioles and Colts. After nearly two decades as a freelancer assisting on Orioles coverage for several outlets, principally The Capital in Annapolis and The Carroll County Times, Dubroff began covering the team fulltime in 2011. He spent five years at Comcast SportsNet’s website and for the last two seasons, wrote for PressBoxonline.com, Dubroff lives in Baltimore with his wife of more than 30 years, Susan.
