We’ve often heard the names of up-and-coming players in the system, prospects like Double-A Bowie catcher Chance Sisco and pitcher Tanner Scott, Delmarva pitcher Ofelky Peralta and infielder Ryan Mountcastle, and Frederick outfielder DJ Stewart.

But who are these guys, what makes them special – if they are – and are they the kind of players the Orioles can build around in the future?

Well, no one knows the organization’s system like player development director Brian Graham, a highly respected baseball man who has been in the business for 35 years, including nine with the Orioles in various roles.

Graham is our special guest in this week’s “Minor League Podcast with Adam Pohl,” the voice of the Double-A Bowie Baysox.

Pohl and Graham discuss individual players in the farm system, with Graham adding his insight into many of the names you’ve probably heard over the last few weeks, including some of the organization’s 2016 draft class.

Pohl also talks with BaltimoreBaseball.com’s minor league expert Dean Jones Jr., about the two players, lefty Ariel Miranda and catcher Jonah Heim, that were dealt away in deadline deals.
