Welcome to the second week of our “Minor League Podcast with Adam Pohl.”
As we told you last week, Pohl is the voice of the Bowie Baysox and, arguably, the foremost expert on the organization’s minor league system.
Well, today, we’re gonna provide a 1-2-3 punch of experts on the Orioles’ minors.
Like always, Pohl chats with our minor league guru, Dean Jones Jr., as part of the podcast. But first, he speaks to David Hall, who covers the Orioles’ Triple-A affiliate, the Norfolk Tides, for The Virginian-Pilot.
For my money, there’s nobody that covers a minor league team the way Hall does. I’m always retweeting his info on the Tides. And he’s going to be sharing some of that knowledge with Pohl and our listeners today.
Hear Hall’s take on why Ron Johnson has the perfect personality to handle a Triple-A team and how Christian Walker’s transition to the outfield is going. Also hear Pohl and Hall talk about the days when Manny Machado and Matt Wieters were minor leaguers.
Enjoy.
