‘100 Things Orioles’ book signing in Annapolis on Saturday; and a video of Dan’s first signing

I spent a good chunk of last year promoting my first book, “100 Things Orioles Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die.”

It was tremendous getting to meet so many Orioles fans and having them share their stories with me – after I had spent a year interviewing roughly 50 former and current Orioles for the book.

I’ll be doing my first book signing of the 2016 season on Saturday as part of the Annapolis Book Festival at The Key School, 534 Hillsmere Drive, in Annapolis.

I’ll be part of a panel with Jake Russell, author of the newly released, “100 Things Nationals Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die” at noon in the Science & Library Center at the school. We’ll be talking Orioles and Nats and taking your questions. We’ll sign books after that program.

Come out and join us if you are in that area Saturday. The festival runs from 10 am to 4 pm and a wide spectrum of authors is featured. Plus, there’s face-painting and a bunch of things for kids to do. For more information, check out http://www.keyschool.org/annapolisbookfestival

It’s kind of crazy, but it’s now been a full year since I had my first book signing at Towson’s Ukazoo Books last April. That one was really cool because it’s located about five miles from where I grew up. I also had a special guest there; Billy Hunter, the Orioles’ first shortstop in 1954 and ultimately a long-time coach during the club’s glory days.

That was a big thrill. And my best buddy, Jason Plotkin, an award-winning video journalist for the York Daily Record, chronicled the day and compiled a video for me. I’ll forever treasure it and that day. Here it is. I hope you enjoy it. And I hope to see you in Annapolis on Saturday.
