New acquisitions Booth, Eyanson highlight 4 Orioles in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100

Thanks to a new draft class and a notable acquisition at the trade deadline, the Orioles have four players in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100.

Outfielder Eric Booth Jr., the seventh overall pick in the draft, who’s 2-for-6 in his first two professional games for Single-A Delmarva, is 40^th among the top 100.

Right-hander Anthony Eyanson, who was the biggest name prospect in the deal that sent three-time All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman to the Boston Red Sox last week, is No. 49.

Eyanson will make his second start for Double-A Chesapeake on Friday night at Reading.

Left-hander Joseph Dzierwa, a second-round pick in 2025, who’s 8-2  with a 2.01 ERA with High-A Frederick and Chesapeake, is listed at 90.

Caden Hunter, who’s also on a strong Baysox staff, is 98^th. The right-hander is 4-3 with a 2.09 Era at Delmarva, Frederick and Chesapeake.

Booth is the top Orioles prospect, and Eyanson, who was briefly No. 1, is second, Dzierwa third, Hunter fourth. First baseman/outfielder Ike Irish, who’s out for the season after a knee injury, is fifth. Irish hit .286 with a .916 OPS, 16 home runs and 59 RBIs with the Keys.

Outfielder Nate George, who’s missed most of the season with illness after beginning the year at Frederick, is sixth.

Left-hander Luis De Léon, now at Triple-A Norfolk, is seventh. Shortstop Wehiwa Aloy, who was recently promoted to Chesapeake is eighth. Outfielder Enddy Azocar, also acquired in the Rutschman trade, is ninth. He’s at Frederick. Right-hander Michael Forret, who was reacquired in the trade that sent reliever Tyler Wells to Tampa Bay, is at Norfolk.

Frederick left-hander Boston Bateman is 11^th. Keys right-hander Kyson Witherspoon, who also came along with Eyanson and Azocar is 12^th.

Utilityman Aron Estrada at Chesapeake, is 13^th while left-hander JT Quinn, who was recently promoted to the Baysox is 14^th. Outfielder Ty Head, the Orioles second-round draft pick is 15^th. He began his pro career this week with the Shorebirds.

Other notable names include Trey Gibson, who went 1-3 with a 7.86 ERA in eight games with the Orioles (17), outfielders Enrique Bradfield Jr., 2023’s first round pick (18), Jhomnardo Reyes, who came from Minnesota in the Dean Kremer trade (24) and Harold Rivas (26), another player in the Rutschman deal. Reyes is at Delmarva.

Utility player DJ Layton, just promoted to the Keys is 26^th and Esteban Mejia, who’s dropped to 27^th. The highly touted right-hander has had a horrible season with the Shorebirds with an 0-7 record and 9.74 ERA.

Fan favorite Creed Willems, a catcher/first baseman at Norfolk is 28^th. Kevin Roberts Jr., the Orioles’ fourth-round pick is 29^th.
