BALTIMORE—The Orioles placed left-handed pitcher Keegan Akin on the 15-day injured list with left elbow discomfort. The move is retroactive to Sunday.
Akin is 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA in 24 games. He started two as an opener. Akin missed the first month of the season with a strained left groin muscle.
The Orioles recalled left-handed pitcher Josh Walker from Triple-A Norfolk. Walker has a 4.50 ERA in three games with the Orioles.
Akin is the ninth player on the injured list.
