Geoff Arnold and Brett Hollander were the masters of ceremony for the Birdland Caravan fan rally at South Hagerstown High School on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024.
Geoff Arnold, the Orioles’ principal radio broadcaster for the last six seasons, won’t be returning to the team in 2026, according to multiple sources.
Arnold, who was the director of public relations and broadcasting for the Frederick Keys from 2014-2020, also called games on MASN.
The Orioles’ other regular radio broadcasters — Brett Hollander and Ben Wagner — are expected to return next season.
Arnold replaced longtime radio voice Jim Hunter, who left after the 2019 season.
News of the Arnold move was first reported by The Athletic.
Mark Shires, who had been with the organization since 1999 and served as one of the team’s assistant athletic trainers for the past eight seasons, has also left the organization. He worked for minor league affiliates from 1999-2017, spending 11 seasons with Triple-A Norfolk.
Shires’ name has been removed from the club’s list of athletic trainers and the news was confirmed by an industry source.
